New York Domain Name Auction Sells $3 Million… almost

The live domain name auction in New York City yesterday yielded nearly $3,000,000.00 in domain name sales. The online portion of the auction will continue for several days more.
While as usual mostly dot com names made up the vast majority of domains sold, there were 11 sold from newcomer dot me and 7 dot mobi names.
Here is a list of some of the domains that sold in just one day demonstrating the continued strength of the domain name market as opposed to the overall weakness in the U.S. economy.
